An 80-hectare resort in Nha Trang, in collaboration with VIUP, Hanoi
Gardens by the Beach explores this question across an 80-hectare site in Nha Trang. Rather than placing a series of large buildings on the land, the project develops the resort as a continuous terrain, where architecture, landscape and topography are conceived as one system.
Hotels, villas, a waterpark, shopping mall, cultural and performance facilities are distributed according to the character and position of the site. Architecture does not simply occupy the landscape; it grows from it.
The five villa typologies follow this principle. While sharing the same standards of comfort, size and program, each responds to a different condition of the ground: dune, rock, forest, garden and terrace. Five architectures, five relationships to the same landscape.
Based on the approved 1/500 masterplan, Multiply Office is developing the architectural design of the resort in collaboration with the Vietnam Institute for Urban and Rural Planning (VIUP).
