The Petticoat Dress

The Petticoat Dress is the perfect outfit to maintain safe social activities with fun, stylish comfort during any sanitary crisis. Alone or with friends and family, the question is no longer about keeping distance between you and others. Free your mind! The dress will keep you safely at bay…

In this day and age physical distance has become a sphere of protection that helps to harness a sense of safety. We have become suspicious of our neighbors, threatened by proximity…The two meters’ distance required in order to halt virus transmission creates awkward situations, breaking normal social bonds.

The Petticoat Dress works as a preventative tool and allows the wearer to bring back a feeling of comfort. It breaks the isolation of distance, even if – in fact – you are still two meters apart. You don’t need to fear others, you can move freely and fearlessly in crowds and simply enjoy the moment.

The dress is also seen as a communication tool that reminds people of respecting social distance but in a relax and creative way. Inspired both by the Victoria Era ball gown and the Scottish Highland traditional kilt, the Petticoat Dress is a comfortable fashion accessory. Easy to wear, but also to clean in order to avoid facilitating the transmission of the virus. The dress comes with an easy-to-carry bag when traveling.

The fabric of the dress is inspired by Pop Up tents for camping: light, strong and easily washable; its capacity to dry quickly, its foldable structure and its low production cost makes it the perfect fashion during the Covid-19 pandemic.
